We’re the Goetke’s! Matt and I met during the summer of 2010 while working at an amazing summer camp called Fort Caswell. We started dating in December 2010, which would result in a long distance relationship for the next year. After a ridiculous number of Skype dates and long drives on the weekends, Matt proposed in Stedman, NC on October 21, 2011. We planned our wedding for the following summer at Fort Caswell. We married on June 24, 2012 in the Sherrill Chapel at Fort Caswell and had our reception in downtown Wilmington at the Balcony on Dock Street. It was the most beautiful day.

We now live in Greenville, NC and WE LOVE IT! Matt applied for multiple jobs in the Nashville, TN area and we hoped we would be able to live there. It was a huge shock to us when we ended up where I was already living and had gone to college; Greenville. Matt began working for Integrity Church as the Worship and Arts Director and I switched from an elementary position to a high school counselor position. Now thinking back, we couldn’t imagine those first months of marriage anywhere else. We are so thankful for our church and friends in Greenville that we have grown so close to. I also have to mention that we live directly in the middle of our hometowns, Morehead City and Stedman. It’s so convenient to live near both of our families. We love our home in Greenville and can’t wait to grow our family even bigger this July!
